Turbocharge Program Event

The community is cordially invited by the League of Women Voters of Greater Green Bay to attend a special informational event about a creative initiative with the goal of college readiness for all students in Green Bay Schools. Turbocharge with College Credit is a collaboration between the Green Bay Area Public Schools. Northeast Wisconsin Technical College and the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. The evening's program will be presented by the leaders of the cooperating educational institutions: Green Bay Schools Superintendent Michelle Langenfeld; NWTC President Jeff Rafn; and UW-GB President Gary Miller.

The goal of Turbocharge is preparing all Green Bay Public Schools students for post-secondary school education (apprenticeship, 2 or 4 year college, the military, etc.,) through earning college credits, a credential, or a degree upon high school graduation. The speakers will provide information on the benefits of the program for students as well as the economic effect on the Greater Green Bay community. There will be discussion on how parents, educators, employers, and community members can play important roles in success for all students.

Parents of students of all ages, the business community, community leaders, organizations benefiting families, and all who look to a strong community future are encouraged to attend.
